Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi showcases her skills in a stunning victory against second seed Wang Yihan. Yamaguchi, recognized as one of the brightest prospects in junior badminton, triumphed over Wang in a thrilling Women’s Singles match that lasted over an hour. With her relentless retrieving ability and unwavering determination, Yamaguchi wore down Wang, who struggled to mount a comeback in the third game.

The BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Finals witnessed an eventful opening session, with Japan’s players delivering impressive performances. However, Kento Momota faced defeat against India’s Kidambi Srikanth in Men’s Singles, despite his previous success against his opponent. Srikanth, reflecting on his victory, attributed it to a change in strategy and maintaining a focused mindset.
