Nikte Sotomayor, a remarkable athlete from Guatemala, has made history in her country and become a symbol of Guatemalan sports. Her achievements in badminton have exceeded her wildest dreams and have catapulted her to new heights of success.

Currently, Nikte is training for the Bolivarian Games and has set her sights on Paris 2024 as her next major goal. She wants to represent her country again and showcase her skills on an even higher stage.

Nikte’s journey hasn’t been without its share of hardships. Several years ago, she suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon, which forced her to take a break from the sport. During that period, she questioned whether it was worth continuing her pursuit of badminton.
