Travel Support Grant – AGM 2024
Each Member in “good standing” will receive a travel support grant for one delegate. The amount of the grant may not cover 100% of your airfare and travel costs, but it will certainly help you cover most of them. To be eligible for the grant, the delegate must attend both the BWF Members’ Forum and the BWF AGM. Rest assured, the grant will be paid to Member Associations within 10 days after the AGM.

Additionally, BWF will reimburse each Member in Good Standing with 3 nights’ accommodation at the official hotel, provided that the voting delegate attends the Members’ Forum and AGM 2024. If your voting delegate also attends your Continental Confederation AGM being hosted in Chengdu, BWF will reimburse a 4th night at the hotel for the voting delegate.
Key Dates – Towards the AGM 2024
To help you plan ahead, here are some key dates to remember:
- Friday 5 January – Deadline for proposals.
- Wednesday 31 January – Subscriptions 2024 due.
- Friday 8 March – Notice of the AGM/agenda.
- Friday 22 March – Deadline for amendments.
- Thursday 25 April – Welcome Dinner.
- Friday 26 April – BWF Members’ Forum 2024.
- Saturday 27 April – 85th BWF AGM.
Your Tasks – Get Ready
To ensure a smooth experience at the AGM, here are a few tasks you need to complete:
- Decide who your delegate(s) will be.
- Ask your delegate to check the expiry date of their passport. They will need at least 6 months validity from the date of travel.
- Complete the Delegate Nomination Form and send it to [email protected] no later than Friday 23 February.
- Complete the Visa Support Form and send the completed form, along with a copy of the main page of the passports of people seeking a visa for China, to [email protected] no later than Friday 23 February.
- Check for flight options for your delegate. Transport will be provided from Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) and Tianfu International Airport (TFU) to the Holiday Inn and back to the airport.
- Check if your Continental Confederation will host its AGM in Chengdu on Thursday 25 April (the day before the Members’ Forum). This will help you plan the duration of your stay at the official BWF host hotel.
- Once you have booked your flights, make sure to inform us about your flight arrival and departure time, as well as the flight number. We will send you an arrival/departure form to complete in March.
