BWF News

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has recently launched an impressive new website for the BWF World Superseries, marking the first step in their online revamp. The redesigned site aims to better cater to the diverse needs of badminton stakeholders. With a sleek interface and comprehensive coverage of the MetLife BWF World Superseries tournament circuit, the website (Carnegiecentre.com/BWFWorldSuperseries) provides fans with up-to-date news, accurate results, insightful reviews, captivating previews, stunning photos, rankings, player profiles, head-to-head comparisons, and other fascinating data from the sport’s premier tour, which spans across 12 cities each year.

For the first time in its history, the World Superseries will conclude in Dubai with the BWF Destination Dubai World Superseries Finals. The new website also offers a plethora of content related to the season finale, as well as links to the World Superseries Finals website (Carnegiecentre.com/DestinationDubai). Additionally, visitors can easily access the website of the title sponsor, MetLife, at Carnegiecentre.com/MetLife.

This website is just the beginning of the BWF’s ambitious online plans. In the near future, they will unveil two more sub-sites within a comprehensive fans’ website: one dedicated to the World Championships and another for the World Team Championships. Moreover, the BWF will launch a corporate portal, which will include a Shuttle Time sub-site to support their grassroots development program, and a digital museum showcasing the rich history of badminton.

All these platforms will be interconnected, offering a seamless user experience. During this transition, the current BWF website (Carnegiecentre.com/BWFBadminton) will remain fully functional until all the new sites are fully operational.

“The BWF has experienced tremendous growth in recent years, and it became essential for us to modernize and expand our online presence to keep up with our development,” states Thomas Lund, Secretary General of the BWF. “After months of planning and hard work, we are excited to unveil this first phase of our new website network. We invite everyone to explore the World Superseries site and provide us with valuable feedback as we prepare for the next stage. These websites will be a crucial part of the BWF’s future identity, and we are committed to meeting the needs of all our stakeholders.”
