Key Dates and Essential Tasks
To ensure a smooth and successful AGM, it is important to stay on top of the key dates and essential tasks. Here are the important deadlines you need to know:

- Friday 5 January – Deadline for proposals.
- Wednesday 31 January – Subscriptions for 2024 are due.
- Friday 8 March – Notice of the AGM / agenda.
- Friday 22 March – Deadline for amendments.
- Thursday 25 April – Welcome Dinner.
- Friday 26 April – BWF Members’ Forum 2024.
- Saturday 27 April – 85th BWF AGM.
Your Tasks
As a member association, there are a few tasks that you need to complete to participate in the AGM:
- Decide who your delegate(s) will be.
- Check the expiry date of their passport – delegates will need at least 6 months validity from the date of travel.
- Complete the Delegate Nomination Form and send it to Patricia [email protected] no later than Friday 23 February.
- Complete the Visa Support Forum and send the completed form, along with a copy of the main page of the passports, to Patricia [email protected] no later than Friday 23 February.
It’s also important to check for flight options for your delegate. Transport will be provided from Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) and Tianfu International Airport (TFU) to the Holiday Inn and back to the airport.

Q: Should I check if my Continental Confederation is hosting its AGM in Chengdu?

A: Yes, it is advisable to check whether your Continental Confederation will host its AGM in Chengdu on Thursday 25 April. This will help you plan your stay at the official BWF host hotel accordingly.
Q: How do I book my flight?
A: Delegates should book their flight based on the meeting plan. Once you have booked your flight, please inform us of your arrival and departure time, as well as the flight number. We will send you an arrival/departure form to complete.
Q: Will there be any travel grants available?
A: After the AGM, BWF will send a travel grant for one delegate from each Member in Good Standing who attended the Forum and AGM 2024. More information on the travel grant will be sent in February.
Subscriptions – Deadline in 2 Days – Members Not Paid Yet

Don’t forget that subscriptions for 2024 are due by midnight KL time on Wednesday 31 January 2024. Failure to pay the subscription by the deadline will result in players being unable to participate in BWF sanctioned tournaments.
As of now, BWF has not received the subscription for 2024 from some Member Associations. Please make sure to submit your payment on time to avoid any inconvenience.

Office Closure – Thursday 1 February
Please note that the BWF Office will be closed on Thursday 1 February, in observance of Federal Territory Day. This day commemorates the transfer of Kuala Lumpur to federal control in 1974.
