Sitthikom Thammasin of Thailand secured the biggest victory of his career by defeating top seed Shi Yu Qi in the final of the Macau Open 2019. This win marks Thammasin’s first World Tour Super 300 crown, surpassing his previous title at the Akita Masters last year. Despite Shi comfortably taking the opening game, Thammasin’s superior fitness allowed him to gain momentum as the match progressed. Eventually, Shi threw in the towel in the final game, resulting in a score of 12-21, 21-14, 21-7.

The Thai pair won convincingly with a score of 21-11, 21-8 in just 31 minutes.
