About FISU America
In 2007, the International Federation of University Sports (FISU) spearheaded the formation of a Pan-American institution that brings together regional organizations of university sports in our continent. The North American organizations, ODUCC (University Sports Organization of Central America and the Caribbean), and SDC (South American University Confederation of Sports) joined forces in Blumenau, Brazil, founding ODUPA, the Pan American University Sports Organization.
In 2015, Alim Maluf was elected as the fourth President of the organization, leading to its name change to FISU America.
