Our players are diligently preparing to qualify for the Para Panam Games in Lima 2019. They will be participating in various tournaments around the world to earn points in the World Ranking. These points will play a crucial role in securing their spots for Paralympic qualification. Let’s take a closer look at the information provided by the International Paralympic Committee on their website, paralympic.org.

The first world ranking event is scheduled to take place from March 25-30 in Antalya, Turkey. Following this, four more competitions will be held in Dubai, UAE; Kampala, Uganda; Ottawa, Canada; and Dublin, Ireland. The stakes will be even higher at the World Championships in Basel, Switzerland, which will take place in August.

But the competition doesn’t stop there. Athletes will have the opportunity to earn more ranking points at five additional major international competitions in Bangkok, Thailand; Beijing, China; Odense, Denmark; and Ballarat, Australia. In September, Tokyo, Japan, will host a competition that will serve as a Test Event for the Paralympics. This will allow athletes to familiarize themselves with the venue where history will be made.
