“I have always had a deep love for sports,” says Norma. Her encounter with badminton began during her time at the university, where she realized her fondness for the sport while planning and working with it. This love affair with badminton started 12 years ago and has since become an inseparable part of her life.

Norma’s dedication to badminton extends beyond her role as a coach. As a physical education teacher at the University of Piaui, Brazil, her days are filled with the same intensity and passion that she brings to her coaching.

Certified as a Coach Level 2 by the BWF, Norma has had the opportunity to participate in various international tournaments. Every upcoming challenge holds a special place in her heart, as she believes that the best challenge is the most recent one she has faced. Reflecting on her experience at the World Junior Championship in Indonesia, Norma expresses her gratitude for the incredible journey. Placing 18th out of 46 countries was a significant achievement and a testament to her team’s hard work.
