Travel Support Grant – AGM 2024
Each Member in “good standing” will receive a travel support grant for one delegate. While this grant may not cover 100% of your airfare and travel costs, it will significantly help in covering most of the expenses for your Voting Delegate. The grant is paid to Member Associations within 10 days after the AGM.

As for accommodation, each Member must book and pay for accommodation at the official hotel in advance. The official hotel for the event is the Holiday Inn Chengdu City West Tower. Booking details will be provided by February 20th.
Continental Confederation (CCs) AGMs
Some Continental Confederations, including Badminton Africa, Badminton Asia, Badminton Oceania, and Badminton Pan Am, will have their AGMs in Chengdu. However, it is recommended to check with your Continental Confederation before making any travel arrangements.
Key Dates – Towards the AGM 2024
To ensure everything runs smoothly, it’s important to keep track of the key dates leading up to the AGM 2024:
- Friday, January 5th: Deadline for proposals.
- Wednesday, January 31st: Subscriptions for 2024 due.
- Friday, March 8th: Notice of the AGM/agenda.
- Friday, March 22nd: Deadline for amendments.
- Thursday, April 25th: Welcome Dinner.
- Friday, April 26th: BWF Members’ Forum 2024.
- Saturday, April 27th: 85th BWF AGM.
Your Tasks – Get Ready
To prepare for the AGM, here are some important tasks to complete:
- Decide who your delegate(s) will be.
- Check the expiry date of their passport, which should have at least 6 months validity from the date of travel.
- Complete the Delegate Nomination Form and submit it to Patricia [email protected] no later than Friday, February 23rd.
- Fill out the Visa Support Form and send the completed form along with a copy of the main page of the passports of people seeking a visa for China to Patricia [email protected] no later than Friday, February 23rd.
- Check for flight options for your delegate and inform us of the flight details, including arrival time, departure time, and flight number. Transportation will be provided from Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) and Tianfu International Airport (TFU) to the Holiday Inn and back to the airport.
- Confirm if your Continental Confederation will host its AGM in Chengdu on Thursday, April 25th. This will help you plan your check-in and check-out dates at the official BWF host hotel.
- In March, complete an arrival/departure form that we will send to you.
