In the Men’s Doubles category, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen of China overcame the challenge of Hiroyuki Endo and Kenichi Hayakawa, the No.5 seeds from Japan. Moreover, the aspirations of the No.5 Women’s Singles seed, Wang Yihan, suffered a setback as she lost to Porntip Buranaprasertsuk.
