Ratchanok Intanon, a renowned badminton player, recently ended her six-match losing streak against Tai Tzu Ying at the Denmark Open. Inspired by her victory, Intanon is determined to continue her winning momentum against her long-time opponent.

Their rivalry has spanned several years, and Intanon’s confidence is at an all-time high after defeating her compatriot Supanida Katethong at the YONEX French Open 2022. Intanon humorously reminisces about their earlier years, mentioning Tai’s “chubby cheeks” when they were teenagers. However, she acknowledges that Tai has transformed into an athletic player with a similar playing style, posing a challenge for her.

According to Intanon, the key to victory lies in mental strength. As attacking players, they focus on controlling the game rather than engaging in long rallies. Intanon’s confidence continues to grow with each round, and she is well-prepared for her upcoming rematch.

On the other hand, Tai, from Chinese Taipei, secured her place in the tournament after defeating Kim Ga Eun. Although she acknowledges the challenge Intanon poses, Tai is not dwelling on their past encounters. She remains focused on her own preparation and acknowledges that she is not in optimal condition due to a quad injury.

The upcoming match between these two talented athletes is highly anticipated. Both players are determined to demonstrate their skills and come out on top.
